dotNetDave Says… Fixing Bugs Is Like Playing the Game Whack-A-Mole!

whackamoleLet’s face it, no software engineers like fixing bugs in code. Since no software is perfect, they are going to happen. They are a fact of life for software engineers. Sometimes, it feels like we are playing the game Whack-A-Mole where no matter how many we fix, more will pop up.

dotNetDave Says 2020-1@0.5x-WHACK-A-MOLE

How many times must fix a bug, perform a build, and suddenly, there are 10 more errors/ bugs that need to be fixed? Therefore, any software project must be properly architected. Follow common coding standards and architecture. Teams must make sure that this architecture and standards are followed, especially if you are using outsourced contractors! Sadly, I don’t see this done at all or very well at most contracts I work on.
