The interview: Joost van Schaik

joostJoost has been developing professionally for close to 29 years, first in Geographical Information Systems, later in web and mobile development. He dived into the 3rd dimension and Unity when HoloLens 1 appeared on the horizon. He soon had (and still has) some HoloLens apps in the Microsoft Store and did a few client projects. Mid 2020, he joined startup Velicus to become a full time Mixed Reality developer. He has been a Microsoft MVP since 2011 – his claim to fame is his blog, that started in 2007 and contains quite a lot of information on Mixed Reality development. He also (very) occasionally speaks on conferences or online events, and has made some contributions to the Mixed Reality Toolkit.
